I have the opposite reaction. This age of political buffoonery, media panic, and perpetual outrage is a comedy goldmine. Unfortunately, it has come right at the time when many comedians are losing their sense of humor. They are arguably abdicating their responsibility, rather than transcending it, by abandoning comedy in pursuit of socially conscious messaging.
