Been there. Even with editing, little mistakes can make it through. It is frustrating. It does not change the fact that this is excellent advice, both for the avoidance of little mistakes and the development of ideas. My pieces that simmered, almost without exception I like them better and they were more effective. Of the quick response emotional reaction pieces, one is my all time favorite, and the other half dozen or so are embarrassments I wish I had left in my draft file.
